The Funtastic Fantasy grips are a collection of 10 sets and 8 features for a total of 79 holds within the range. The biggest holds are the extra-large pockets and tufas. 8 features or XL grips are available individually to mix, match and or set as pairs to create “eye-catchers”.

Funtastic Fantasy Grips will also allow routesetters to create playful and imaginative kids and beginner roped-climbing routes and boulders. Alternatively setters will be able to create “easy highlights” that will gain attention, providing more value, fun and good vibes! These holds are especially important for beginner and intermediate climbers who may be building their strength, endurance and technique.

My name is Stephan Scherzinger, and I’m the founder of Peak-a-boo Climbing Holds. I’ve been climbing for 30+ years and have developed a deep love and appreciation for the sport and lifestyle.

Mein Name ist Stephan Scherzinger und ich bin der Gründer von Peak-a-boo Climbing Holds. Ich klettere seit über 30 Jahren und Lebe für diesen Sport.

My very first climbing experience was at a crag called Römerstein in the Harz region of Germany. The year was 1993. Since my early experiences on rock, I’ve had the privilege of “putting up” or “new routing” with first ascents in some of the most beautiful and challenging locations around the world. In the late 90´s I was focusing my efforts at Devil Rock in Ontario, Canada. In 2008 and 2010 I´ve done first ascents of multipitch adventures at Haegefjell in Telemark, Norway. As of 2010 my focus has been mostly at Guffertstein Klettergarten in Tirol, Austria. My experiences as a climber have allowed me to develop a keen eye for creating holds that not only look great but also provide an interesting climbing experience.

Meine allererste Klettererfahrung machte ich an einem Felsen namens Römerstein im Harz in Deutschland. Das war im Jahr 1993. Seit meinen ersten Erfahrungen am Fels hatte ich das Privileg, mit Erstbegehungen an einigen der schönsten und anspruchsvollsten Orte der Welt „neue Routen zu erstellen“. In den späten 90ern konzentrierte ich mich auf Devil Rock in Ontario, Canada. 2008 und 2010 habe ich Erstbegehungen von Mehrseillängen im Haegefjell in Telemark, Norway, durchgeführt. Seit 2010 war mein Herz-Projekt Guffertstein Klettergarten in Tirol, Austria. Durch meine Erfahrungen als langjähriger Kletterer habe ich ein gutes Gespür dafür entwickelt, Griffe zu schaffen, die nicht nur gut aussehen, sondern auch ein interessantes Klettererlebnis bieten.

As of 2021, the latest ongoing mountain project is an off-the-beaten-path “secret crag” (for now) we named the “Peakaboo Westwand” (Guffert). This development could not have been made possible without the motivation of a handfull of fellow climbers and friends, from the Deutsche Alpenverein Alpenkranzl Erding to whom I am very greatful. It’s always exciting to have climbers come together and discover new holds that might let you “send it”. You don’t have to be crazy, but it helps! 🙂

Ab 2021 ist das neueste laufende Bergprojekt ein (vorerst) abseits der Touristenpfade liegender „geheimer Felsen“, den wir „Peakaboo Westwand“ (Guffert) genannt haben. Diese Entwicklung wäre ohne die Motivation einer Handvoll Mitkletterer und Freunde, vom Deutschen Alpenverein Alpenkranzl Erding, dem ich sehr dankbar bin, nicht möglich gewesen. Es ist immer spannend, wenn Kletterer zusammenkommen und neue Griffe entdecken, mit denen man den Durchstieg vielleicht schaffen kann. Man muss nicht verrückt sein, aber es hilft! Über den Wolken…Muss die Freiheit wohl grenzenlos sein 🙂
